The Global Food Crisis and its implications

Covid has serious economic repercussions in many developing countries which they still struggle to cope with.

As a result of the war in Ukraine a grain prizes are escalating global crisis on the grain market. Will the governments that are subsidizing grains be able to continue this practice? Will they be able to import the needed food in this scenario?

On the African continent, 20 percent of the poorest people are spending between 60 and 80 percent of their income on food. A 30-50 % price increase means that they no longer can provide the most basic needs for their families.

This webinar will discuss the possible global scenarios triggered by the current crisis. To introduce this complex situation and its consequences, we have invited:
